- Brawn is an evil Autobot from the Shattered Glass continuity family.
Icy and detached, Brawn is a brawler who'll punch you in the face with his nucleon shock gauntlets, or wipe the floor with you using his Tekkaido moves.
He later got reformatted as the heroic X-Brawn.

Brawn was on board the Ark when it traveled to Earth and crashed into the ocean off the United States' west coast. He ended up later being part of the group of Autobots that met up with Rodimus when the wayward Autobot (who had been the only one to reach an escape pod before the crash) finally arrived at the Ark's crash site. Goldbug initially ordered Brawn to transform Rodimus forcibly back to robot mode, then dismember him, but Rodimus was able to talk his way out of it before Brawn could do the deed.
He then was part of the assault force that hijacked the Burpleson Air Force Base so Rodimus could fulfill his plan to use the humans' Global Orbiting Defense Satellites to hold Earth hostage unless they met his demands.
Afterwards, when the Decepticons tried having Soundwave and their human allies infiltrate the base with a cover story, Brawn was assigned to be their "chaperone". Soundwave decided to signal for an all-out attack as a distraction, which proved to be successful, as Brawn ended up leaving them to defend against the assault. Eye in the Sky
Months later, Brawn and Elita-One headed up a scheme to create attack drones out of Earth cars via a rigged car wash. When the Decepticons arrived to interfere, Brawn intercepted and faced off against Bombshell. He initially was able to hold his own, throwing a barrage of Earth cars the Insecticon was forced to dodge, and easily blocking a retaliatory anestho-shell with his gauntlets. However, when he had his mind assaulted by Blitzwing's new sonic powers, it distracted him enough for a second shell to connect and send him into unconsciousness.
The Decepticons eventually proved to be too much for Elita-One on her own, so she draped the still-snoozing Brawn over her altmode and high-tailed it back to the Ark.
Later, Brawn had recovered from his unconscious spell, though he and the Autobots found themselves now hearing Blitzwing's sonic assault constantly. Brawn explained that the signal was causing problems on the emergency frequency where it couldn't be shut off, and advised simply ignoring it. When Rodimus pointed out that didn't seem to be working very well, Brawn's wincing reaction confirmed Rodimus's suspicions and belied Brawn's earlier advice. Blitzwing Bop
Brawn was among the Autobots who sprung an ambush on a group of Decepticons. Once they were tied up, he and Ratchet had to restrain Swoop from attacking the prisoners. After R.J. Blackrock turned up in a Centurion battle mech, Brawn attempted to attack him, only to be surprised by a hefty kick. Transhuman
While searching for the missing Huffer, Brawn uncovered Side Burn's duplicity and Transformium nature. He retreated for reinforcements, bringing Rodimus, Jetfire, Prowl, and others to support him. Side Burn had fled, but Huffer and the other missing Minicars were uncovered in Side Burn's hidden laboratory.Coalescence
Following a particularly bad defeat on Earth at the hands of the Decepticons, Brawn was among the Autobots who left for Cybertron aboard Sky Lynx. When their ride announced they would have to lighten their load, Brawn, being among the most badly wounded of the Autobots, was dumped out of the airlock along with Optimus Prime and a number of others. They subsequently found themselves in the presence of Unicron. Familiar Reflections
Brawn was transformed into X-Brawn, one of the Knights of Unicron, serving the equally transformed Nova Prime. They returned to Cybertron to help Nova Prime overthrow Rodimus and his chaotic ways. Out of the One, Many Facing a reawakened Primus, X-Brawn and his comrades aided Gaea in stopping the dreaded Order-Bringer. Subsequently, X-Brawn, Checkpoint, and the Autotroopers joined Nova Prime in making peace with Galvatron. The Future Buried...

- Accessories: Crane boom/rifle, spare tire halves, Autobot-type energon star
- Released in the second wave of Transformers Target-exclusive Scout Class toys, Strongarm is a redeco of Energon Scout-sized Strongarm, transforming into a Cybertronic jeep with the Sector Seven logo emblazoned on him. He has a clear-plastic "energon" crane-boom/rifle and spare tire which can combine to form a large axe.
- This mold was also used to make BotCon 2005 Fallback and 2007 movie Crosshairs. The axe mold was separated and used for multiple Takara promotional freebie energon weapons, as well as being released in reddish-orange with the Japanese "Wild" redeco of Energon Ironhide.

Notes
- The concept of Brawn's gauntlets likely stems from the unreleased 2003 Universe Scout-sized Brawn figure, which would also have been a redeco of the Strongarm toy and featured snap-on energon gauntlets. According to the creator of this character, you can use the spare tire halves as shock gauntlets by putting them in his fists.[1]
- His X-Brawn design is modeled on Combiner Wars Deluxe Class Rook with the unused Ironclad head and 2001 Robots in Disguise X-Brawn's color scheme. An earlier concept had him based on Thrilling 30 Deluxe Class Skids (with the Crosscut head).[2]
- Unlike his functional normalverse counterpart Cyclonus, X-Brawn doesn't have an armada of his own. Oh well, at least we don't have to worry about his old identity being ambiguous.
- For IDW Publishing's comic series, Brawn's previous color scheme was transplanted onto the Titans Return Legends Class Brawn toy.
