Barnstorm
From Transformers Wiki
The name or term "Saber" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Saber (disambiguation). |
- Barnstorm is a Mini-Con from the Energon portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
Barnstorm is a skilled aerial combatant, surprising friends and foes with his acrobatic stunts, and is an ingenious raid-planner. Unfortunately, his way of speaking is archaic, which sometimes can cause people to not realize what he's saying until it's too late. He serves with Flashdrive and Bingo in the Elite Flying Corps.[1]
Unfortunately, Unicron turned him into the evil Saber (セイバー Seibā).[2]

Ask Vector Prime
Multiversal observer Vector Prime explained that iterations of the Elite Flying Corps often had the misfortune to encounter Unicron while scouting for energon ore. The Chaos-Bringer reformatted them into the evil Apocalypse Brigade Mini-Con Team, and thus Barnstorm became Saber, team leader and strategist. Ask Vector Prime, 1 August 2015

Super Link
- Saber (Micron Booster, 2004)
- Booster ID number: 1
- Super Link Saber is a blue-chromed redeco of the Mini-Con Thunderclash, transforming into a Cybertronic gunship.
- He was sold as part of the third, Lawson-stores-exclusive Micron Booster assortment (called "Ver.2") in Japan, in individual, blind-packed boxes so you did not know which Mini-Con you got until you opened the box and opaque black plastic bag inside. Saber was a "chase" toy, available only in every other case of twelve. In cases without a Saber in it, the space was filled with a duplicate of one of the other eleven toys in the assortment.
- This mold is also used by Flashdrive/Processor and Bingo/Triac.

Notes
- As "Saber", he was originally released by Takara in Japan with no bio info whatsoever. The American name "Barnstorm", and his bio, were created by the Transformers Collectors' Club and published on March 23, 2007 on their website. In 2015, the Ask Vector Prime Facebook page would expand upon Barnstorm's team affiliation.
- His Japanese name comes from "Saber", the smaller robot form of Star Saber, as the first three Micron Booster assortment "headliners" have names similar to Japanese Autobot leaders/protagonists.[3]
