Atsuko Tanaka

Atsuko Tanaka (田中 敦子 Tanaka Atsuko, November 14, 1962–August 20, 2024) was a Japanese voice actress. She worked for the talent agency Mausu Promotion, and some of her notable roles include Motoko Kusanagi in Ghost in the Shell, Soi in Fushigi Yuugi, Claudette in Queen's Blade, Lisa Lisa in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Karura in Utawarerumono, Puru in Super Doll Licca-chan, the eponymous character of Bayonetta, Caster/Medea in Fate/stay night and Konan in Naruto Shippuden.
In the world of dubbing, she has dubbed for Gwyneth Paltrow in over seven different movies (including the Iron Man franchise and Seven), Kate Beckinsale in numerous films (including the Underworld franchise), Nicole Kidman in a ton of films (including Batman Forever), Lisa Kudrow in a bunch of her films as well as on Friends, and Jennifer Lopez in at least six of her worst movies (such as Maid in Manhattan and Gigli). In animation, she's played Rita Carter from Invasion USA, she reprised the role of Phoebe from Friends for a guest spot on The Simpsons, Carmen from Roughnecks: Starship Troopers, and Angelique from Rango.

- Atsuko was born on the very same day as fellow Transformers voice actress Jessica Straus. Furthering this coincidence, Straus voiced Slipstream's War for Cybertron counterpart.
