Shortcuts
[edit]You deleted some shortcuts I created. Why? They seemed useful to me, though, it's probably not worth discussing much. In the deletion summery for one of them you referred to the page What Test Wiki is not, so maybe you thought they were test edits.--Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 21:08, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- It was wrong redirects, I left some correct redirect, but redirects from main namespace to wikipedia: namespace must be deleted.--Ole Førsten (talk) 21:29, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- I don't see why they need to be deleted. On most other wikis I would partly agree with you, but normal reasons against cross-namespace redirects don't apply on this wiki. It is easier to type Requests then it is to type Wikipedia:Requests. It is easier to type R then it is to type WP:R. Though this is a small issue, so if what I said does not convince you, I'll probably drop the issue.--Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 22:02, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- Why you think so reasons against cross-namespace redirects don't apply on this wiki? Yes, just R is short, but wrong redirect. Redirect must be WP:R, because page R (in main namespace) can used for test, not for redirects.--Ole Førsten (talk) 22:10, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- Just to make sure I am understanding you, are you saying that the developers need to be able to use main namespace pages like R to test their code, and using pages like R as shortcuts would interfere with that?--Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 14:36, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yes.--Ole Førsten (talk) 14:39, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

I see. Here are some main namespace redirects to delete: Emmette Hernandez Coleman What Test Wiki is not What we do here. Redirects using the WP persto-namespace, for example WP:NOT are technically in the main namespace. Do those need to be deleted?--Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 10:58, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, it must be deleted.--Ole Førsten (talk) 11:06, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- By "those" I meant redirects using the WP presto-namespace.--Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 10:31, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Ummm... In common wiki shortcuts must be [[Wikipedia:Example]], [[WP:Example]] will automatic redirected to Wikipedia: namespace. But there is something wrong. In order to prevent misunderstandings better use WP: for shortcuts.--Ole Førsten (talk) 10:40, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

- I removed the shortcuts R and RQ at Wikipedia:Requests so that somebody doesn't unknowingly re-create them. I almost did, but luckily I read this first. 95j (talk) 20:05, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Blocks
[edit]Please stop undoing my blocks. Thanks. Splarka (talk) 23:28, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
- Not. You can't block due to one edit to 2 months. Please stop this unnecessary blocks.--Ole Førsten (talk) 17:24, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
- No, I will not stop blocking them for creating stupid vanity, libel, and self-aggrandizement. These users serve no purpose here and have no need to be here, per WP:NOT. This wiki is not a general test wiki. Splarka (talk) 12:46, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
- The Wikipedia Test Wiki is not: where libel will be tolerated.
