Young Harris, Georgia
Young Harris is a city in Towns County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,098 at the 2020 census. Young Harris is home to Young Harris College, after which it was named.[1]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.95 square miles (2.5 km2), all land.[2]
As of the 2020 United States Census, there were 1,098 people living in the city. The racial makeup of the city was 78.5% White, 9.7% Black, 1.2% Asian, 7.7% from some other race and 2.9% from two or more races. 7.2% were Hispanic or Latino of any race.[3]
Former Governor and United States Senator Zell Miller (1932–2018) was born and died there.
