Klaus Bednarz

Klaus Bednarz (6 June 1942 – 14 April 2015) was a German journalist and writer. He had been working in television since 1967. From 1971 until 1977, he was a foreign correspondent in Poland and then to the Soviet Union until 1982. He was also a presenter on the programme Monitor. He wrote many books in Polish and Russian. He also won many journalism awards.

Bednarz was born in Falkensee, Brandenburg. He studied at universities in Hamburg, Vienna and Moscow.

Bednarz died on 14 April 2015 in Schwerin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, aged 72.[1]
