Critical reception
[change | change source]This movie was released on December 22, 1995. It got negative reviews from critics. Roger Ebert gave the movie two out of four stars.[1] Kevin Thomas from Los Angeles Times said the movie was contrived and getting by on the star power of its cast[2] It took in $71 million at the box office, more than its predecessor, Grumpy Old Men.[3] Grumpier Old Men won the 1996 People's Choice Award for "Favorite Comedy Motion Picture".[4] Like the first movie, Grumpier Old Men was rated PG-13.
