Joseph Conrad Etienne Dion (11 August 1918 – 7 November 2014) was a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender. He played a career total of 38 games in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for the Detroit Red Wings.

Career

Dion would play 38 games with the Detroit Red Wings over parts of 2 seasons. After he left the NHL, Dion spent most of his career in the American Hockey League (AHL). In the AHL, he would play 39 games for the Indianapolis Capitals, 303 games over 6 seasons with the Buffalo Bisons, and 8 games with the St. Louis Flyers. During the 1949-50 season, Dion was able to win the Harry (Hap) Holmes Memorial Award for recording the lowest goals against average.^[1] Dion also played in the United States Hockey League (USHL). He played 7 games for the Houston Huskies and 4 games for the Louisville Blades. He retired from playing professional ice hockey in 1952.

After he was hospitalized for 2 weeks, Dion died on 7 November 2014.^[2]
