Blue Mound is a city in Linn County, Kansas, United States. In 2020, 219 people lived there.[3] It is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area.[4]
History
[change | change source]Blue Mound was planned out in 1882. It was named Blue Mound because from far away, its elevation is said to look blue.[5]

[change | change source]The 2020 census says that there were 219 people, 95 households, and 50 families living in Blue Mound. Of the households, 81.1% owned their home and 18.9% rented their home.
The median age was 43.9 years. Of the people, 90.4% were White, 0.9% were Black, 0.5% were from some other race, and 8.2% were two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.3% of the people.[3][6]
