About
RubyConf is the longest-running conference dedicated to the Rails framework, bringing together developers from around the world to share knowledge, collaborate, and shape the future of the framework. As the final RubyConf, our 2026 conference will be a landmark event, celebrating nearly two decades of innovation and community.
our mission
RubyConf strives to provide an inclusive and welcoming experience for all attendees. We have an anti-harassment policy that we require ALL attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff to comply with—no exceptions. We also collaborate with a diversity, equity, and inclusion consultant.

about ruby central, inc.
RubyConf is brought to you by Ruby Central, the non-profit organization that supports the global Ruby programming community by organizing events like RubyConf and RubyConf, as well as maintaining open source projects such as RubyGems and Bundler. We are also supported by a small but dedicated group of volunteer directors and board members.
Since 2001, Ruby Central has been at the heart of the Ruby ecosystem, supporting developers, startups, and large corporations built on Ruby.
At our events, we welcome all those inspired by Ruby and Rails—whether you’re working at a large company using Rails, an independent creator, or just Rails-curious. Newcomers and seasoned developers alike are encouraged to join.
