You don’t need to have a massive impact just to stand on business for your own principles.

How is everyone involved at every step of this so utterly mentally impaired
Most of the shareholder oligarchs who own our economy are lead poisoned boomers and this is all just their way of competing with each other for the top spots on the forbes richest people list.

Publishers are barely even necessary anymore. Word of mouth is king. Marketing is annoying and untrustworthy. Cut out the unnecessary middlemen that have been choking the creativity out of gaming for years now.

Nobody deserves insolvency more than Ubisoft. They are not just greedy. They’re also incompetent and delusional. They took solid gold franchises and fucked them to death.

Unfortunately our copyright system mandates that copyright owners must defend their IP from infringement, and making money off of an early access mod that revolves around copyrighted materials you don’t own is definitely infringement.

yeah I hope more left handed mice get created by the smaller companies in the future

I used logitech mice for years but I finally stopped and I’m glad I did. There’s cheaper, better options now.

oof

It amazes me that anyone played any far cry or assassins creed game in the last 10 years and went “yes this is a good game”. All they make is bare minimum surface level crap and it’s been that way for a loooooong time.
For Honor was their last good game.

Warner brothers patented the nemesis system from shadow of mordor

Yes. I play stealthy and non-aggro and most of the time my lobbies are full of people dicking around with no fear of aggression from other people because the rats are busy killing each other in the aggro lobbies.

aggression based matchmaking. the game puts you with people who pvp as much as you do.
OP, what is an example of an excellent game in your eyes?
seems like they’re giving up on PC gaming entirely in the future imo
me too Mario, me too

It’s more likely that the devs are not being given the time or resources to do this kind of thing properly. Their bosses are too concerned with what will save money and generate shareholder value.

Arc Raiders launched as a feature complete game, mostly bug free, well optimized, with a sufficient amount of functioning servers, and with genuinely innovative game design.
It sold incredibly well at 40 dollars. I’ve bought it 4 times myself.
Expecting every game to meet those criteria is not “absurd”. It used to be par for the industry and it still should be.
AAA games from publicly traded corporations are just absurdly underwhelming. They want us to think these standards are absurd so they can keep their minimal effort bullshit gravy train running. It’s not going to work anymore. That’s the free market. Adapt or die.
