I wasn’t expecting his stomach to end up being full after the session.
I always thought they would just play and smear the mass around.
Dry cereal used to be my snack of choice when I was a kid. That shit slaps

Cybersecurity@sh.itjust.works•Signal president warns AI agents are making encryption irrelevantEnglish
7·8 days agoNo. It’s because in order to AI agents to work they need access to the content being transmitted on each end of the communication.
I use DDG just because they have !bangs and it saves me so much time.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•People who live in southern hemisphere countries: do your mall Santas dress for freezing cold weather?
39·3 months ago(Replying to myself because I feel like to instead of editing my original comment)
We also have the same decorations like you guys: Christmas trees covered in snow, Santa in cold weather gear, reindeers and probably everything else you can name.
It doesn’t make any sense and we know it. It’s just an excuse to get drunk and eat a lot.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•People who live in southern hemisphere countries: do your mall Santas dress for freezing cold weather?
48·3 months agoYes. In Brazil we have the same Santa.
The reason the guy doesn’t overheat (more often) is because they only cosplay in climate controlled areas like malls. Their costume is also made with breathable and “thin” fabric, not much hotter than your regular sweatpant.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How many virtual machines can you nest?
8·3 months agoI’ve seen a guy going from windows 10 or 11 and nesting VMs with older versions of windows until maybe 98 or 95.
Mind you it took a few days to actually install windows 98 so… Good luck

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Multiliguists of Lemmy - When speaking Language A and using a word from Language B how do you decide which pronunciation to use?
8·4 months agoIt depends.
Let’s say I’m trying to ask an acquaintance their phone number so I can add them on WhatsApp or Signal. Honestly it’s kind of ridiculous to use the proper pronunciation of Whatsapp im Brazil, so I use the popular way (it’s something like “oah-tchi-zap”).
Unless I’m actually speaking with someone in their mother language I just default to the Brazilian version of the name. Otherwise I will try and match their pronunciation - it’s nice to train and also I think it’s polite.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•AI generated images are probably amazing to someone on LSD
1·5 months agoFirst when deep learning was becoming popular there was a project called Deep Dream that was kinda psychedelic. Their training model was heavily biased towards dogs and frogs but I wasted a few minutes looking at them and trying to figure what even was pictured.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•It might not be too long before animals evolve a rudimentary mechanism to filter microplastics
15·6 months agoMaybe?
Evolution takes a long time and unless we are dealing with microbes and fungi, generations are counted in years or decades.
I’m not saying that we should rage-follow but it’s also unreasonable to believe it’s possible to agree with every single opinion of another person let alone another community as a whole.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How did you decide what you generally wanted to do with your life?
8·6 months agoI found out that it’s more important to be flexible and be able to grab opportunities when they appear than to make the “right” decision.
There’s no right answer on how to live your life.
And besides that we live in times that are changing so rapidly that what you might be doing in the next 10 years donesnt even exists right now.
Just keep your brain sharp and your body healthy and you’ll be set.

I’m doing this right now
