Yeah, it’s buggy as hell every time I’ve tried it. Lots of random bugs that were open for a long time. Also not open source so I realize that doesn’t matter to everyone but for me it does especially for a browser.

1·6 days agoI guess? I only use Google at work though so not too familiar. But still hits my issues with llms, also it’s forced in Google I believe.

101·6 days agoI’ve unfortunately noticed that as llms have gotten more traction that search engines in my experience have gotten worse. Sometimes I have to do like 2 or 3 searches to get the exact right articles that actual relate to what I’m looking for. In the contrary llms are great for asking a question directly, and figuring out exactly what you’re looking for and then going to a search engine and doing some research on your own. It would be nice if there was a way to somehow combine the two without the ridiculously egregious environmental and intellectual issues with llms.
There’s part of it but also anecdotally a lot of us are aware that alcohol in pretty much any quality has negative effects and therefore don’t drink at all. There’s a lot less pressure to drink than in expect there was for other generations, it’s pretty normal for me to meet other people who prefer not to drink.

5·10 days agoI haven’t no, all I know is the “some good some bad” from my own anecdotal experience. Please enlighten me though if you have numbers. (I don’t mean that sarcastically I just tend to speak formally like this apparently). I am genuinely curious.

5·10 days agoYeah that’s fair. I mean upvotes or downvotes I’m glad people are expressing their opinions. Ultimately I understand we’re all on the same side here which is that fascism is something that can’t be tolerated. And if push comes to shove I’ll do whatever I have to but I’m of course not excited about another generation of people still having to go to bat just to exist of course.

112·10 days agoSure, that’s a viable approach. But frankly at that point I’m far less worried about ICE who are generally untrained, and inexperienced, than the military which IS quite competent, and far better equipped.

233·10 days agoThis is certainly far from a victory, and I’m not declaring it as such, I’m simply stating that this is a potentially positive outcome that couldn’t be possible with alternative methodology. I’d also point out that arming and protecting oneself is not the same as enacting violence. What the BPs are doing for example is not the same as calling for civil war.

3814·10 days agoThis is why peaceful protest should always be the first choice and violent action should always be the last resort. You aren’t going to get things like this if it’s a bunch of protestors running around gunning down people

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Does anyone have any advice for young adults that are struggling in life?English
2·11 days agoAs a fellow young adult who feels like they’re still figuring out wtf is going on I’ve found having outlets is good. It’s certainly not as easy to have free time where you have the mental energy to engage with something even if you want to but spending time and commiserating with others or doing a hobby very casually is good. I definitely struggle with letting some of my hobbies that I used to be extremely competitive/highly skilled at decrease in importance and having my ability reduced slightly. I don’t think there’s really a 1 size fits all answer.
