It blows my mind that many many many of these emails we’re seeing are sent and received from people’s work accounts.

Got whiplash seeing it was him.

3·21 days agoContrary to others I liked this game quite a bit. The life skills were fun, if sometimes tedious, and the sound design of gathering materials out in the world was intoxicating.
I spent hours mining rocks and cutting down trees. I still hear the sounds of it sometimes.
Didn’t enjoy the combat that much but others seemed to have at the time. The game didn’t have much to keep it relevant long term but I’ll miss that flash in the pan that hooked me for a month or two way back when.

11·22 days agoIt appears there are many lenses to view this through. Besides your account name there’s nothing to suggest, to me, that this comic is about having a chronic illness.

11·22 days agoHow is this non political? I guess aging isn’t political, but it’s hard to interpret this as not political/social commentary to me.
$1200 though. Looks neat.
The viggen is my favorite fighter jet. Great shot!
Love that Four Tet has become a stalwart of the music scene. With such varied tastes and the ability to blend them all into cohesive sets constantly, hopefully he remains active for a long time.

43·1 month agoThe person you replied to was saying that they’ve never experienced this supposed shame but have heard of its existence.
I also have only heard of people complaining that this shame exists and have never actually seen a man be shamed for being hit by a woman
Perhaps both of us are lucky to not have seen this toxic masculinity first hand
- Understand and use the latest AI tools effectively in their chosen field(s), including identifying the key capabilities, strengths and limits of AI technologies, as well as ways that AI can transform existing methods, processes and tools
- Recognize and communicate clearly about AI use, decisions and limitations, including developing and defending decisions informed by AI-driven insights, as well as recognizing the presence, influence and consequences of AI in decision-making
- Adapt to and work with future AI developments effectively and continually
I’m not sure about every graduate needing this, but at the same time these seem like reasonable goals. Wouldn’t you want the next generation to understand the weaknesses of ai? The pitfalls of trusting it? Recognizing how to use it smartly?
No doubt these kids are already using it. Why not train them in its pros and cons?
The kneejerk reaction that this is bad seems shortsighted to me. Every person, ai supporter or hater, should understand how AI works and how it doesn’t work.

231·2 months ago18 Republicans also opposed the budget. If every Democrat had joined the 18 Republicans in saying no, this budget would not have been approved
This is usually by design to protect risky seats and give the impression that they were opposed for political points. In essence those 18 Republicans are only enabled to vote no because they know Dems are supporting this passing. If more Dems voted no, less Republicans would have.

It’s frustrating how many comments are focused on comparisons to the NL. When someone does something hard that was easy for you, do you gloat or do you celebrate their efforts?
Everyone in this community knows that NL has amazing bike infra and this is normal (and better) there.
Hope to see more permanent protected bike lanes in the US. Thanks for sharing OP
