Keep in mind that the autos optimize for units times profit so they don’t necessarily lose money from lower volumes. Ford’s net income for example have remained stable since 2023.

That’s a pretty damning argument. I knew most parts of it but never put all of them together like this. Does anyone find anything obviously wrong with it?

Very interesting.

We don’t make passenger EVs in Canada. There were plans for starting production by some of the American autos but they all bailed with the arrival of Trump on the scene. After taking Canadian subsidies no less. We also subsidized battery plants that were supposed to feed EV production. Now their future is in question.

We hate ourselves. 😆

Yes, it’s bad for you. Selling new cars for over 60K on average has been very good for you.

Taxing the rich will generate significant revenue, but that’s not its only purpose. By reducing inequality we can balance the scales of society.
Very important point that’s often omitted. The capital accumulated by the 1% provides exorbitant power to direct society in ways that serve the 1%. Directly via different markets and indirectly via (legally) buying political power.

Here’s to hoping it continues! 🍺

We are universally hated by pedestrians and drivers alike.

What if at least 1 in four men believed we could tangibly improve the world by just giving our time or empathy freely without needing something in return?
Imagine what would happen to the system if this large part of the working population believe (and are able to practice) giving their labour for free.

Been using it for a few months and it’s been pretty good.

We may have had EV manufacturing established in the Ford Oakville plant by now. There used to be plans for that.
It’s what you thought it is. Also the razor-thin margin is .7% so not too sharp of a razor.
