It was a bit earlier than COVID. I was building a PC in early 2018, and the effect of miners buying up all the GPUs they could was already heavily felt.

4·8 days agoI think it’s more about the very steep cost of air pods compared to, say, chargers. I think it’s perfectly fine to have multiple, especially since they’re usually used for charging multiple devices. Air pods aren’t as universal.

21·28 days agoI’d argue it is financially sensible if you want one. Current price may be the lowest it’s ever been, with increasing prices for RAM and storage. There’s only so much stock they have bought previously.

1·28 days agoIt’s not that expensive. It’s similar in price to PS5 before it got a price increase, and trades raw performance for portability.
The real expensive part is new price point for first party games and prices of SD Express cards.
Kinda same, but I would also always tinker with Plasma endlessly customising every little bit, installed applets and widgets to check if they’re better than what I’m currently using. It got tiresome, but I just couldn’t stop myself. After a while I installed Gnome and just embraced the simplicity.

I like Switch 2 and I will play games on it. It’s a lot cheaper than upgrading my PC. I don’t play online, and eshop has better prices than Steam in my country. Don’t yuck my yum, and I won’t yuck yours.

Nah, there’s no way the Brits will swallow their pride and come back to EU in the next 10 to 20 years. They’ll first ask to come back with their exemptions, and then be furious the EU won’t allow them anymore.
