Same boat as you but was always driven to and from school via one of my parents. However, my father worked late hours because he was a farmer so I would stay at school till 7 sometimes when I was with him that week (had divorced parents).

Most poorer people work two or three jobs because they can’t get full time jobs with healthcare or benefits. Which means they work 40+ hours every week regardless because it’s all they can do to survive.

He’s just ruining all of our tax payer funded institutions. I hope we can reverse a good chunk of it after he croaks but who knows anymore.

It’s a class war thing more than anything. Cops will pick on you more if you drive certain models of cars or a car that’s a total clunker with a busted window that’s taped up. I am American. My glasses are like 30 bucks a pop and I order them on the internet. All I see an optician for is to get my prescription renewed every 5 years and that isn’t too expensive to get done either.

The movement was started around 2014 via social media algorithms pushing people to vote for someone like Trump in the first place, the decades of propaganda from conservative talk radio/talk shows, and Hillary being the liberal bogey woman for 30+ years at that point had made poorer whites feel apathetic to voting democrat ever again because they abandoned the working class in the 90s in response to Reagan’s success in the 80s.

I deliver for them and we get these more often than you would think.
