Gaming@beehaw.org•Close to finishing Super Mario Odyssey and was wondering which games are similar
3·13 days agoOdyssey is up there as one of my fav experiences of all time. Possibly Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Galaxy scratched the itch like someone else suggested. For some reason I couldn’t get into 2 but I know it’s considered as better. Quite different but Celeste controls so well it kind of feels similar in that way.
I’m going to go through some of the replies too. Lovelovelove Odyssey.
Edit: Perhaps with trying Luigi’s Mansion 3. Not a platformer but very fun.
Thanks. I gave it a go but it wasn’t playing well with my pixel and yeah, no profiles as you noted. I’ll give it another go soon though, thanks for the suggestion.

Android@lemmy.world•The Clicks Communicator stumbled by marketing itself as a "second phone". It has everything I want out of a "real" phone, no AI push, and it's small. I'm going to try it as my next (only) phone.English

I just put a line break in in an edit. I’m replying here to make sure you pick that up.
I think it was editing /etc/default/grub and adding
`GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINUX=keep
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=“$GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT gfxrotation=3”`
Then regenerating grub.
It’s all working as expected but I couldn’t get Plymouth rotated without graphical glitches with a gui so I just go no GFX on the SSD decrypt. I think Grub rotates fine.
I do.
Storage yes, ram no.
(Single side NVMe or it’s too tight)
Omg I have the exact same laptop and have had the exact same issue. Apparently there is a quirk downstream to fix it in the kernel. I had best experience with Fedora and just disabling Plymouth and use no gui for decrypt. I think Grub is ok for me. DM me if you like and want me to check anything specific when I get home so we can compare notes.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•I was recently gifted a Steam Deck for Christmas! If you only had a budget of, let's say 50 bucks, what would you get?
2·1 month agoI second elden ring from another recco. Celeste is one of my favs ever.
I very much wish I’d done this. I’m very happy with my system but it’ll be a slog if and when I need to set it up again.

GameBoy@lemmy.world•Help understanding flash carts (I have a legitimate ROM)English
2·1 month agoSecond sentence on your link: SNES Advance emulator works on all modern GBA Flash Cards. The ones that are not compatible are QBus QBoy flash cards, and SuperCard users have to remember to write roms to CF or SD card using the SuperCard software otherwise SNES emu will not work.
These flash cards are the GBA cartridges that you’re talking about.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Distro/DE recs for 2-in-1 laptop that folds into tablet mode
2·1 month agoI use Gnome on the two in one. Two in one tends to be useful to occasionally watch a video in tent or some other orientation. The keyboard disable isn’t great but your laptop is likely better supported.

2·2 months agoOn android I use aurora and fdroid. I’d likely use something like Steam if they made their own. I try to avoid Play Store and lean on Libre alternatives when possible.
