That’s basically what I thought when I saw this - there’s no way anything is happening that quickly, this is just outputting “done!” over and over.

I don’t disagree, but the article also mentioned that they’ve already sold their first commercial deployment so I don’t think it’s entirely vaporware…?

But that would never happen because, you know, money.

Didn’t Biden basically issue a preemptive blanket pardon for people (his son, maybe?) before he left office?

I realize captchas are to prevent bot behavior but I wish there could be some sort of threshold on the backend where if you fail enough times it should recognize that a bot would’ve moved on by now and only an actual human being would be dumb enough to have persisted that long.

[Dietrich Bonhoeffer has entered the chat.]

I don’t necessarily disagree, but I feel like its worth pointing out that gerrymandering was first used in Massachusetts.

Sometimes devs are pretty good at their games. Other times, they bring QA who are typically really good at their games.

There’s no monopoly on the government-intelligence-villain look

Isn’t that arguably the nature of encryption, though? If you lose the key, you’re SOL by design.
John Oliver did a segment on this about a month ago, but yeah, you just nailed it.

There was a weird smear campaign against him about that but it wasn’t true - multiple people (including the actor) detailed his training regimen.

Yeah, I get crazy looks when I say it, but I think the problem with the Iron Fist show was the writing and not the actor. Finn Jones was great (with what he was given)!
Counter-experience: I don’t have a college degree, but I have ~25 years’ experience in tech. I never submit anything in the “education” section of applications but typically haven’t had a problem getting interviews - including with the big name co’s. Admittedly, it’s possible I’m getting dropped silently from some applications but the only people who actually ask about my education at this point are recruiters looking to populate their database fields.

Came here to say the King’s Quest games, but really it’s any of the _ Quest titles.

Less jpeg-y version, where you can see the Photoshopping more clearly:

That’s what I can’t get over. I mean sure, we know double standards are rife in this administration but OMG how is the entire security community and leadership (looking at you, Congress) not absolutely losing their minds at this? Didn’t they send a SWAT team or something after one of the War Thunder forum leakers for posting a simple manual?! This is just insane.
[Win+x, i ], my brother in Gates! But yeah, I share your cynicism of their priorities.
