I really like this series & find it unique & interesting, though I do not have Apple + streaming service & It is not yet downloading in order & all the episodes to my ‘PLEX’ service, so all I have watched are FIRST-2-EPISODES, SO PLEASE NOTHING ABOUT EPISODES PAST 2ND.

I do love the idea that our stupid need to explore space (while <not in the series> on Earth there are huge, sick & evil problems that gets push aside) causes a microscopic beings into Earth & they escape through scientist. With that being said, I am so tired of this Individualism in our society & is manipulated a lot for Rich-Super Rich Economic Classes’/Owners’ increased wealths, thus her trying keep what makes her an individual & trying to save what all of her species members individuals (personality & such) is the only story line. I also love that the microscopic Beings do not want them to want for anything or come to the least bit of harm. I love how interesting it is when the main character passes-out, I assume from drinking or gets angry, they freak-out/rush over to help her, only to drop to the ground & pass-out themselves. Though I can guess where that is headed,

Our stupid need to explore space & need for Rich-Super Rich Economic Classes/Owners to make profits/wealths over everything else, while on Earth there are huge, sick & evil problems that gets push aside. It bites our species in the BLANK when we decide to kidnap a microscopic Beings back to Earth, with returning robots & they escape within a scientist, because she accidentally injects herself with some of them. The microscopic Beings are of two-make-ups, one is like ‘The Pluribus’ series where they are all of one-minds & no room for individuality & the other make-up is all are individuals & no room for shared existence, no matter how many bodies they both take over. Both are the problems, The not infected/controlled people are individualistic, unlike ‘The Pluribus’ series microscopic Beings, but they can also come together to act as one, not just because they can share one-mind, like the microscopic Beings, more importantly, over time they learn they can respect, understand & Etc. work together for the betterment of the species & for the species survival. Thanks to appreciating their shared experiences, from the good & bad happening all around them. Thus they can do what both (I guess that is the best scientific term to use) families of species of The Microscopic Beings can do, at will though, switching back & forth. Sure I like how the members of our species that cannot yet be turned are far from healthy members of our species. Like the main character is a alcoholic.

I am tired of the individualistic BLANK in our entertainment, when really if honestly look at our country, let alone most countries (especially Capitalist & Caucasian dominated countries), individualism is the problem & is manipulated by The Rich-Super Rich Economic Classes/Owners for their benefits.
Look at The Canada & Scandinavian Countries, where just being respectful, understanding & Etc. working together for the betterment of their lives, thanks to appreciating their shared experiences, from the good & bad happening all around them. Result better countries & people living in them. Of course I agree the people, in the above, are almost entirely Caucasian & thus that are not & already there are treated a lot worse (like Canada’s Indigenous peoples) & those non-Caucasian people trying to get in have go through tons of Capitalist dominated EU countries that try make as hard as possible to get through.

So it’s difficult to discuss this show as you’ve only seen the first two episodes and I’ve watched all nine episodes twice.
However even from the first two episodes, I’m not sure you and I watched the same show.
I think it’s fine to wish for a show to be something, but you can’t fault a show for not being something it never tried to be. You can’t watch Shakespeare and complain that it lacked a big car chase scene.
I think you’ve picked up on some of the themes of Pluribus, but you haven’t caught them all, and you may be wrong about others.

Come man, that is a terrible analogy to what the series is to what I would preferred it to be. Shakespeare’s time knew nothing our automobiles, let their big chase scenes.

I forget everything at this point but there’s the stuff like how isolating the automated world can be, there’s the weird AI chat bot angle. And the main plot elements like how it’s a little alien, a little virus.
Maybe those are the main ones, but it’s interesting the different little elements of those they can mix into the main actual premise.
And Vince Gilligan’s dry humor seems to come from often come from living in those awkward silent moments. Both the ones between characters and others like just waiting to watch something play out expectedly or unexpectedly.

Your post confused me a bit so I want to clarify: you’re proposing an alternate path for Pluribus, where instead of one strain of the Joining virus there are two; one strain is the classic “no room for individualism” as we see in the show, and the other gives room for individualism but also creates a shared pool of knowledge between the “infected”? And there are still those who can’t be “joined” by either virus strain/version?

Makes sense to me with the limitation of how much one human brain can process at once. The only flaw that bothered me is sending any signal from a brain in the first place which should have also been limited at least by range and latency.
That is an awesome point, I had not thought of that. With that being said, could not be dealt at least some, by just leaving the stuff you do not need in the original mind & use only what you need from that mind.

I think this is a very small grievance. I don’t recall if that girl was the only person in the cockpit at the time, but you can just imagine there were two other hived there if you want to.
Im going to coach this in vague language to avoid spoilers.
The key I think you missed in that sequence is that no one person is important. That person is introduced doing “menial” tasks while filthy. They are pointing out that individual comfort is nigh pointless, as each of the hosts is just part of something larger. The human needs once youre joined are minimized on an individual level, or at least, met in a different way.
That host was selected for a reason, but even if they did die and crash one of tens of thousands of planes they dont really need, they could send another, very similiar host to complete that goal. The “whole” considered her flying alone to be safe enough, or at least irrevelvant enough if it caused an issue, and they were ultimately correct. She arrived unharmed, promptly. With how the “whole” views the “unjoined,” using a large plane to assist her is likely seen as the best possible use of resources. Later episodes comfirm this viewpoint.
In the end, that single host flying a large plane alone just to arrive somewhere quickly seems insane to us, but fits the “wholes” personality to a tee.

I agree with you, no single person can know the professional behaviors/skills needed for many professions let alone all professions.
Flying a large plane with one person that is designed to require at least three people to even function is a HUGE lapse of judgement.
I think these large planes can be flown by one-person, but I will let be right on that, I do not know as professional whether you are right. You know something you are not taking in consideration for this whole reply’s complaints, is there are what 1-billion people dead by 2nd-episode, & it is increasing in the future episodes as they find more dead. All but what 12-people are under control of all microscopic Beings. There are few planes flying; look at how empty the airports & skies are.
Then about the killing The Living Earth practices of transporting only one-person, & other such practices, I was right there with you, but then the obvious answers smacks you in the face. The negatives on our planet’s health & thus all Living Beings have nearly drop to nothing, with fewer population & few transportation.
Plus, the infected person overseeing to the main character’s pleasure, needs & safety, told another un-infected male character that they cannot feed him any Beings’ meat, because they cannot harm Living Beings, thus they only can make Vegan foods. I love that, as a Vegan.

But the second part of sentence I you were trying to say, they say that since each infected body shares the whole minds of the whole that are infected, any infected body can do what anyother inefected body can do.
