One of “those” conversations at work yesterday.

Myself (I) and the crane driver (CD) were shown a picture of a fallen extension ladder that had fallen at another workmates house (W).

W said that “she says that she ( his partner ) didn’t move it, that it wasn’t her.” W says that he doesn’t think the wind could’ve knocked it over. I said well the wind can do lots of damage and it’s very possible that it could have. W explains that there is a lip or protrusion to the side that would have prevented the ladder sliding sideways.

I ask well what reason would she have to move it.

    W…“who ?”

I look at CD rather bemused and ask if I’m speaking a different language.

    Have a lovely Friday people.

Facebook decided I needed to see this, and its actually from Perth so I guess not really local… But it does remind me of a lot of housing estates going in around Brisbane.

Utter insanity that these are being approved, built, and then people are buying them? How is this better than duplexes, or low level highrises, or even highrises with a shared greenspace?? Give me more density and free up some surface area for greenery damn.

I saw this on Reddit and it made me feel very uncomfortable. Talk about high density housing.

I remember when 400 M2 blocks of land started being released over 20 years ago ( maybe 25, thereabouts ) and realising that things were changing due the worse.

I mean fair enough if somebody doesn’t want a huge yard to maintain. Each to their own and all that.

But these things, nope. I just don’t get it. Damned awful.
