There are way better (worse?) examples of Sinophobia in Ranma 1/2 than a shirt. Their depiction of Chinese people is wild.

I think it’s just funny that the China overalls became Smile overalls in 2024 because Japan is mad at China now.
Japan has been very anti-China, historically.
