Lyman James Briggs (født 7. mai 1874, død 25. mars 1963) var en amerikansk ingeniør, fysiker og administrator. Han ble utpekt som direktør for National Bureau of Standards under den store depresjonen og styreformann for Uranium Committee før USA gikk inn i andre verdenskrig. Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University er oppkalt i hans ære.
