John Kitto (født 4. desember 1804 i Plymouth i England, død 25. november 1854 i Cannstatt i kongeriket Württemberg i Det tyske forbund) var en engelsk forfatter.
Liv og virke
[rediger | rediger kilde]Kitto vokste opp under vanskelige omstendigheter og mistet hørselen i sitt trettende år.
Han ble i 1825 ansatt ved et trykkeri og fikk anledning til å fortsette sine studier. Han viet seg deretter til forfatterskap innen de bibelske hjelpevitenskapers, særlig den bibelske topografis, område.
