FC Schalke 04 er en tysk fotballklubb fra industribyen Gelsenkirchen i delstaten Nordrhein-Westfalen. Med mer enn 170 000 medlemmer er klubben den femt største idrettsforeningen i Tyskland og den sjette største i verden. Den ble stiftet i 1904 under navnet Westfalia Schalke, men skiftet navn til FC Schalke 04 i 1924. Opprinnelig var Schalke 04 et lag med sterk tilknytning til bergverksdrift, flere av fortidens kjente spillere var gruvearbeidere.

Hjemmearena: Veltins-Arena (tidligere Arena AufSchalke), med publikumskapasitet 62 271 tilskuere. Kapasiteten er 54 740 ved UEFA-kamper.
