WikiAfrica in Cameroon has developed a series of initiatives promoted in the frame of WikiAfrica by lettera27 Foundation, the Africa Centre and doual'art. In 2012 the specific project WikiAfrica Cameroon was promoted by doual'art and supported by Orange Foundation. WikiAfrica Cameroon aims at increasing the quality and quantity of content related to Cameroon on Wikipedia and the Wikimedia projects. WikiAfrica Cameroon is a project promoted by doual'art with the support of Orange Foundation and the partnership of lettera27 Foundation and the Africa Centre. The project contributes to WikiAfrica and to the background documentation of the research project Mobile Access to Knowledge: Culture and Safety in Africa. Documenting and assessing the impact of cultural events and public art on urban safety. Documenting and assessing the impact of cultural events and public art on urban safety, a comparative international research project which is releasing all its background documentation under Creative Commons attribution share-alike and it is uploading its documentation on the Wikimedia projects.
