Improving the Wikimedia movement’s work with content partners
Helpdesk
The Helpdesk provides hands-on support to you when you are trying to form a content partnership, especially for local communities in the underserved and underrepresented communities.
Do you want to upload a batch of images to Wikimedia Commons, but don't know how to do it? Or do you have a dataset with nature reserves in your country, that you want to use to run Wiki Loves Earth?
The Helpdesk supports most content-related projects you want to run together with partners. If the Helpdesk team does not have the answers, the person who requested the help will be introduced to other experts within the Wikimedia movement.
The work of the Helpdesk is guided and prioritized by an Expert Committee.
We are running the first pilot version of the Helpdesk. You can see the projects we've been working on here. Please get in touch with us at helpdeskwikimediase.
The process
[edit]We want the process to be as easy as possible. You can reach out to us and request help by:
- Sending an email to helpdeskwikimediase. The email does not have to follow any certain format, but you can read more on the subpages
- Join our monthly office hour last Thursday each month, 15:00 UTC.
- If you miss the office hour, drop us an email and we will schedule a meeting with you
- Submitting a public request
The following pages can help you on the way. We look forward to hearing from you!

Why a helpdesk?
[edit]Many people have requested help to get started to carry out partnerships. This was frequently highlighted during the development of the 2030 strategic recommendations. The Helpdesk will provide that practical help, and lower the barriers for all affiliates within the Wikimedia Movement who want to start working with content partnerships – no matter where they are on the journey.
