To do
editImport Articles/Abstracts/Posters
editInfo Most of these were found in the Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis bibliography and paper archive — Huge thanks to Marc Young for the head start!
Articles/Abstracts/Posters: Done
Add main subjects to each paper
editInfo Use Scholia's topic curation page to assist.
These are likely best done manually but another option is to use ItemSubjector.
All of the locations where experiments were carried out should be added as main subjects — places can be found by searching for items around coordinates with this query.
Complete the citation graph
editEvery paper should have a list of citations (cites work (P2860)), these are often added by bots like Citationgraph bot but sometimes it's better to do them by hand.
Roderic Page's Wikidata Cites Work(s) is a great way to semi-automate the process: When working on a specific paper, add its DOI to the tool, run the result through QuickStatements, then check the resulting citations. A useful way to ensure their correctness is to add a series ordinal qualifier to each citation, sort them with rearrange values.js, then check to see if any numbers are missing and add them manually if needed.
Disambiguate all authors
editInfo Use Scholia's topic curation page to assist.
All of the top authors are done but there are still over a hundred people who have only have a single work to their name — Author Disambiguator is the tool of choice here.
The best way to prioritise efforts here is by using Scholia's curation score combined with queries that return subsets of the full (daunting) list of undisambiguated authors:
- Items with no disambiguated authors
- Authors of scholarly articles
- Authors of abstracts
- Comet Research Group co-authors
- Authors of anything other than news articles and press releases
- Items where the primary author has yet not been disambiguated
Housekeeping
editHere's some things that need doing every once in a while:
- Update the Wikipedia (en) talk page list of authors who have Wikipedia articles with this query
- Update the Author Disambiguator list of all authors with this query
- Add maintained by WikiProject (P6104)WikiProject Younger Dryas impact hypothesis (Q109710030) statements to related items (these can be done manually, or found with this query)
- Keep an eye on things with the Item Quality Evaluator
- Paste
SELECT ?item WHERE {?item wdt:P6104 wd:Q109710030.}
into the SPARQL box to evaluate all YDIH items
- Paste

Utility queries
edit- Author education and employer locations — Useful for adding and fixing location statements (on universities etc.)
- Author names — Useful for adding and fixing given and family names (work from the top down, the entries at the bottom should be correct)
- Author descriptions — Useful for adding and improving descriptions ("researcher" is better than nothing but it's not particularly helpful)
- A better option may be to use TABernacle here with the same query, this allows you to edit the descriptions quickly (double click on the description field, add one, then press enter)
- Items that don't have anything that links to them — Useful for prioritising linking efforts
- Items with un-ordered authors — Most of these just need a qualifier with series ordinal (P1545)"1"
- Items sorted by the number of external IDs — The more the better!
- Items sorted by the number of citations — Look out for items with only a few
- Citations without items — Most of these need converting into Wikidata items
- Citations series ordinal completeness — See: #Complete the citation graph (items must have at least one cites work statement)
