Translation request
editHello.
Can you create the article en:Baku State University in Latin, just like the article la:Universitas Nationalis Erevanensis?
Can you also create the article en:National Library of Azerbaijan in Latin, like the article la:Bibliotheca Nationalis Kosoviensis?
Thank you.

Latin articles
editHello.
Can you translate and upload the articles en:Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, en:National Museum of History of Azerbaijan and en:National Art Museum of Azerbaijan in Latin Wikipedia? They should be short.
I live in Turkey where Wikipedia is banned and blocked, and thus is off limits for us. Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons are the only websites where we can contribute and communicate and which are not banned and blocked yet.

Do not add 《》 around book names in Chinese
edit您好,在维基数据中,请不要在中文图书的标签中加书名号,如Record of the Monasteries of Luoyang (Q11146266)的zh标签应为洛陽伽藍記而非《洛陽伽藍記》,谢谢。 Midleading (talk) 02:28, 15 June 2024 (UTC)
- Why not? Point out and link to a policy, rather than just stating a personal preference for misformatting the titles.
- Also, if you're going to come to an English language page and insert a title in English, why write your running text in Chinese? Go entirely bilingual or choose a lane. xD — LlywelynII (talk) 20:36, 15 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Midleading: Removed needless (and unjustified) personal attack.
- If there's no actual policy for this misformatting, take it up with the community portal/project chat. If you're correct that malformatting Chinese titles is "understood by everybody except [me]", it should be pretty easy to establish a consensus. Poorly formatted templates at Wikipedia (to the extent they exist or are used, which doesn't seem to be the case on any articles on Chinese works) are easily corrected, so that's neither here nor there. — LlywelynII (talk) 04:22, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
- I've discussed the relevant topic at Wikidata:Project chat/zh. Other editor also agrees that 《》 is not needed, nor do Pinyin as aliases. Midleading (talk) 07:50, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- Another editor isn't a concensus and removing the tonal pinyin is just mistaken. It's the appropriate place for it. Otherwise, you end up copying it to languages that don't use the tones at all like German and Spanish. — LlywelynII (talk) 23:09, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
