Requests for the bot flag should be made on this page. This wiki uses the standard bot policy, and allows global bots and automatic approval of certain types of bots. Other bots should apply below.

For bots not qualifying for steward discretion, the operator must:

  • register a bot account with the word bot in the username (something like YourusernameBot);
  • add a paragraph to this page describing the bot's purpose, what program(s) it uses (pywikipedia framework, etc);
  • and perform a test run without a bot flag to demonstrate the bot.

Hi, i request bot status for BotMultichill. BotMultichill is an interwiki bot run by Multichill starting at the Dutch wikipedia. The bot uses the pywikipedia framework and runs day and night in autonomous mode. Sometimes the bot will run in manual assisted mode to solve interwiki conflicts. At the moment the bot runs at several wikipedia's, for example the Dutch, French and English wikipedia (full list at meta:User:Multichill). I would also like to run the bot on this wikipedia. Hello. I ask for permission to run my interwiki bot Byrialbot at this wiki, and possibly get a bot flag for it.

  • Purpose: Interwiki
  • Have bot flag at: ar:, da:, en:, eo:, fo:, he:, id:, is:, it:, nds:, nn:, no:, simple:, sv:, uk:, vo:
  • Details: Interwiki using Pywikipediabot starting from da:, nn:, no: and sv:. It mostly runs manually assisted and I try to solve found interwiki conflicts when I can.

Bot flag for Loveless

Hello. I ask too for permission to run my interwiki bot Loveless on this wiki, and possibly get a bot flag.

  • Operator : fr:User:Darkoneko
  • Automatic or Manually Assisted : Automatic
  • Programming Language(s) : python (pywikipedia framework)
  • Function Summary : interwikis
  • Edit period(s) : continuous (~16H / day)
  • Edit rate : 1 or at most 2 edit/min in normal mode, a daily (few minutes long) wave of faster edits when using warnfile.py
  • Already has a bot flag : on 57 other wikipedias (see fr:User:Loveless#Statut for detail)
  • Function Details:
    • I uses interwiki.py in autonomous mode for interwiki adding, with the jawp article database as origin. I'll probably switch to another wiki's article list once I reach a complete loop of the current one
    • Once or twice a day, I'll also add http://tools.wikimedia.de/~flacus/IWLC/ 's useful results using warnfile.py .

Hi, AlleborgoBot is an interwiki bot run by Alleborgo starting at the italian wikipedia. The bot uses the pywikipedia framework daily updated to the last SVN version. The Bot runs in autonomous, but sometimes, it will run in manual assisted mode to solve interwiki conflicts. Already has a bot flag in ar, az, bg, br, bs, ca, ceb, cs, da, de, en, eo, es, eu, fa, fi, fr, gl, he, hr, hu, hy, id, it, ja, ka, ksh, lb, li, ln, lt, ms, nds, nl, nn, no, pl, pt, ro, ru, sk, simple, sl, sq, su, sv, th, uk, vec, vi, zh, zh-yue.
