Overview[edit]

Shattered Exile is a four player map made by "mafe" and featured in the Hive Workshop Melee Mapping Contest #6[1][2]. It was added to the 2v2 mappool on W3Champions for Season 6 and 1v1 mappool for Season 8.

Official Map Description[edit]

Once this village was a retreat for the archmages of Dalaran. But once the city had fallen, their lingering magic took its toll on the inhabitants. Now few remain alive, and even fewer remain sane.

  • It has enforced cross-spawns, meaning players always spawn opposite to one another.

Version History[edit]

Version 2[3][edit]

  • Assassins, who can be hired at the mercenary camps, are considerably slower than before (270 movespeed, instead of 290)
  • The rogue wizard’s frost armor effect now lasts 1 second less. This creep can be found both at the green camp nearby your base, and at the mercenary camps.

Version 2.07[5][edit]

  • Removed lvl 1 powerups from the green bandit/wizard spots in front of the spawning positions
  • Removed lvl 1 powerups from the 3 and 9 o'clock expansions
  • Removed lvl 1 powerups from the merc camp
  • Slightly repositioned several creeps with their respective camps, where they were not mirrored around the map yet
  • Repositioned spawning locations of main buildings at the northern spawning positions
  • Slightly moved/added some doodads and trees near creepcamps to reduce the chance of units walking into creeps by accident.

Version 2.06[7][edit]

  • Powerup at mercs drops from a different creep.
  • Merc camps slightly moved outwards, creep positions slightly changed.
  • Change middle creeps. They also now drop two lvl 2 power ups instead of one.
  • At the green wizard/bandit spot, the lvl 1 powerup now drops from a different creep.

Version 2.05[9][edit]

  • Redesigned middle: Made the area more open.
  • Changed creep camp north of the tavern. The new creeps now drop a lvl 4 permanent item + lvl 2 powerup.
