Madrasa (-ae f.) est Arabicum vocabulum (مدرسة) 'scholam' significans, quamquam aliquando etiam universitatem attingere potest. Sensu stricto Latine aliisque linguis, Islamicum institutum ad theologicam educationem praebendam significat, praesertim Alcorani studium.
