Hey no worries! 60-70 is still a great amount to have rated (I'm not even sure I got that much done haha). And thank you for the kind words! I haven't played cytus in a while but maybe ill check it out again to get some refresh and to understand your compliment more.
Also reading your comment about violin makes me more appreciative of the support I had for it growing up (parents supporting lessons and whatnot). I agree it can be tricky to learn, especially without support. I hope that one day you have a better chance to learn it and that you'll be able to play your favorite songs!

This one was really fun and energetic! It kinda reminded me of the pizza tower OST in a great way - lots of punchy and crunchy and high energy sounds, and the tracks gave me a restless feeling. Could totally see this in basically any professional action arcade-y themed game (or even some others too) - super great job, and very crisp production!
This submission was really fun! I really like how each piece fits naturally into an imaginary arc for a story, and that there's a consistent vibe across them (even when they're clearly playing different roles in the narrative). My favorite piece is probably #4 Fish Lullaby - the perc is really tickly in a good way in the middle. Great work guys!
The voice leading in the first track is phenomenal! I really like your use of adding interesting harmonies through leading voice lines in general. And overall very strong vision and execution. Track 8 (Her World) is also both really beautiful and really strongly forceful/energetic. The organ + perc + vocals is such a good combo. I could 100% see all of these tracks in an anime.
There's some really sick sound engineering / production here (especially 1:10 in 4 - In My World), and the overall vision for the OST is one of the strongest and most compellingly executed. Usually I have to work a bit to imagine what the target game would be like, but this track communicates the vibe and cyber/tech atmosphere so well it stands on its own. Great job!
ok this is my favorite submission ive reviewed in this jam so far. The production is punchy and full, and also has interesting harmonic/melodic content to back up the solid production. The selection of synth sounds is really compelling and gives me some death stranding vibes in a really good way - and then the way that they contrast with the softer piano sections gives a really narrative feel to the pieces. Super solid!!
Thank you! As for the fast riffs, there isn't anything super particular I do. Usually it's just fiddling around on the piano for a vague idea, then trying to develop a concrete vision for that in my head, and then experimenting with plugging in random midi arpeggios/scales and whatever else comes to mind
