Welcome to the Swap Jam!
Swap Jam is a bi-monthly reoccurring jam aimed at creating a fun opportunity for participants to develop their skills, meet new collaborators, and foster a beginner friendly and inclusive environment to learn and share! 🤍 The catch is that everyone contributes 3 optional themes to go alongside a main theme given by us! When the jam starts, these optional themes will be sent to other participants to make use of!

Theme: Current
The jam's theme is CURRENT ⚡! Feel free to interpret this theme however you see fit! (You can interpret the theme as 'CURRANT' 🫐 too if you want! It basically sounds the same! :D)
Once the submission period starts, we will send your team your secondary themes that were created by other participants! These will be optional but we'd recommend you try to include at least one.

Games that are browser playable will be played on Stream (if you want)!

Rules
Sexually explicit material is not allowed in this jam. Offensive and discriminatory games are also not allowed.
Slight blood and gore, adult topics, and explicit language are fine. Just make sure to mention this at the top of your game page/the start of your game.
You can use asset packs, etc. as long as you have the correct rights and credit the creators appropriately.
No use of generative AI.
There's no maximum team size and you can work on multiple different games as long as they were all started during the jam period!
Please only submit games that were started during the jam period. It's ok to reuse basic code from other projects though (stuff like player movement script, etc).
You can submit your game to multiple jams as long as it wasn't started before this jam and follows the main theme!
Even if your game is buggy or incomplete, please submit it! :D
