Nadia Santini (...) è una cuoca italiana  presso il ristorante Dal Pescatore nel comune Canneto sull'Oglio, locale premiato con tre stelle Michelin dal 1996.

Il ristorante Dal Pescatore si trova nella riserva naturale del Parco dell'Oglio nel comune di Canneto sull'Oglio[3] ed è stato aperto nel 1925 da Teresa Mazzi, nata in Brasile da genitori italiani, e da Antonio Santini che di mestiere faceva il pescatore sul fiume Oglio[4]. Nel 1996, il ristorante riceve le tre stelle Michelin,[5] e Nadia diventa la prima chef donna premiata con le tre stelle.[6]

In 2010, German filmmaker Lutz Hachmeister created a television documentary called Three Stars, which Santini starred in amongst other chefs from Michelin starred restaurants. Her appearance in the documentary stood out, being described by critics as a "radiant personality and gentle, Old World approach to the nurturing of recipes, colleagues, and clientele provide the counterpoint to frenetic, confrontational kitchens run by scientist-chefs".[7]

Nadia Santini è molto apprezzata anche da altri chef, tra questi la francese Anne-Sophie Pic che l'ha descritta "straordinaria" e fonte di ispirazione,[8] and British chef Angela Hartnett has described Santini as one of her "heroes".[9]

Nel 2013 è stata premiata come "miglior chef donna del mondo" al concorso The World's 50 Best Restaurants organizzato dalla rivista [[Restaurant (rivista)|Restaurant].[10][11]

Vita privata

Nadia è spostata con Antonio nel 1974[4], anche lui nello staff del ristorante, ma come addetto alla reception.[9] Si sono conosciuti all'Università di Milano.
