  • Authorship of this work may have been erroneously attributed to Lazarus by the publisher Carl Fischer. See the case of 3 Duos concertans sur des motifs des opéras, Op.107, by Kaspar Kummer.
  • These duets were included by Lazarus in Part III of his published clarinet method. The 1940 edition of the method, also published by Carl Fischer and edited by Simeon Bellison, contains the duets, though they are entitled "Three Intermediate Duets" in that edition. There is no other attributed composer. Given that later in the method, there are concert solos by Bassi, Cavallini, Liverani, Rimsky-Korsakoff, Rode, Kroepsch, and Kalliwoda, all correctly attributed, the likelihood is that the duets are indeed by Lazarus.
