Health Plans
MIT offers two health plan options.
The Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) PPO+ Plan
Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) High Deductible Health Plan
Prescription Drug Plan
When you sign up for MIT health coverage, you and your eligible family members are automatically enrolled in a prescription drug plan managed by Express Scripts (ESI).
Retiree Health Plans
As an MIT retiree, you, your spouse or partner at the time of your retirement, and eligible dependents may choose to participate in one of MIT's health insurance plans.
Dental Plans
MIT offers two dental plan options that pay all or a portion of the expenses for many necessary dental procedures and supplies.
Vision Plan
MIT offers an optional vision plan through EyeMed Vision Care that covers the cost of eyeglasses or contact lenses.
Health Care Flexible Spending Account
An MIT Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) allow you to set aside funds tax-free in anticipation of medical expenses. (MIT also offers a Dependent Care FSA.)
