ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

As a fellow at UC Davis and with the Department of Radiology, you’ll have access to robust clinical, educational, and research resources, with numerous opportunities to establish a foundation of excellence in your future career.

From exposure to a high volume of diverse and complex clinical cases to working and training one-on-one alongside internationally recognized leaders in radiology, our goal is for all fellows to have a rich learning experience that will allow them to become experts and leaders in their field. Additionally, we take pride in our reputation for supporting and promoting physical and mental wellness, and emphasizing the value of work/life balance.

Our fellowship programs are located at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, the major teaching facility of the UC Davis School of Medicine. UC Davis Medical Center serves the healthcare needs of the Sacramento metropolitan area and is a referral center for patients throughout northern California, Oregon, and Nevada, along with providing level 1 trauma service to the community.

Neha Antil

Neha Antil, M.D.

Neuroradiology

Neha Antil is a board-certified, foreign-trained radiologist who was born and raised in New Delhi, India. She attended medical school, intern year, and residency at VMMC and Safdarjung hospital in New Delhi. She pursued a MSK Radiology fellowship at UZ Brussel, Belgium and shadowed at the Department of Neuroradiology and MSK Radiology, UPENN, Philadelphia, PA. In 2019, she joined Stanford University to perform leading-edge research focusing on targeted contrast enhanced ultrasound in ovarian and pancreatic cancer, O-RADS scoring system, NS-RADS scoring system, MR neurography and liver imaging. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, music, dancing and yoga.

Thomas Geisbush

Thomas Geisbush, M.D.

Neuroradiology

Tom Geisbush attended Chicago Medical School and finished his radiology residency at Stanford University. In his free time, he enjoys bike riding, hiking, and rock climbing to stay active. Tom also has a love for live music and enjoys going to shows. When at home, he cherishes spending time with his wife and their two beloved cats, Sender and Norbu.

Connor Gemmell

Connor Gemmell, M.D.

Neuroradiology

Connor Gemmell was born and raised in Oregon, primarily in Eugene. He did his undergrad at Santa Clara University in the South Bay and also lived in Denver and traveled abroad before transitioning into medicine. He attended Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR. He enjoys world travel, specialty coffee, meditation, and running. In his spare time, he likes spending quality time with his partner Jessica, whether that's outdoors on a nature hike or curled up with some tea and a good book. They enjoy spoiling their Tortie cat, Izzy, and brand-new Somali kitten, Felix.

Naveed Majd

Naveed Majd, D.O.

Musculoskeletal Imaging

Naveed Majd was born and raised in the Los Angeles area. He received his undergraduate degree in Physiological Sciences from UCLA and his medical degree from the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York, NY. He completed his preliminary year in surgery at UC Irvine and his radiology residency here at UC Davis. He enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, cooking, exercising, traveling, and skiing.

Muhammad Raj

Muhammad Raj, M.D.

Neuroradiology

Muhammad Raj attended the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine in Saskatoon, SK where he received his medical degree and completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology. He also earned a M.Sc. in Developmental Biology from the university. Muhammad enjoys science and technology, watching the NBA and NFL, playing basketball, weightlifting, automotive engineering, and trying out new local cafes.

Kriti Rishi

Kriti Rishi, D.O.

Breast Imaging

Kriti Rishi attended University of Wisconsin- Madison where she earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and Master in Public Health. She earned her medical degree from Midwestern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Chicago. After completing her transitional year, Kriti finished her Diagnostic Radiology residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, playing fetch with her pup, and exploring new hikes.

Nicholas Vargas

Nicholas Vargas, M.D.

Abdominal Imaging

Nicholas Vargas is a recent graduate from UC Davis Radiology residency. Professionally, he has an interest in image-guided procedures and abdominal MRI. He’s originally from Nevada and hopes to return to Reno/Tahoe for his future practice.

Karen Yuan

Karen Yuan, M.D.

Musculoskeletal Imaging

Karen Yuan received her M.D. and a M.P.H. from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL.
