Mozilla really baffles me with some decision making. They can see something like Proton become huge with 5% of Mozilla’s brand awareness, and still, they cancel even the most basic of projects like their dedicated password manager.

Yea, because no one can fake their way in.
Then don’t lock your doors, there are ways around that too.
Keep on licking the boots of the people who want to abuse you…
In what part of “learn how to use Matrix” and “they host pedophile rings” did I give you the impression I like or use Discord at all, genius?

Are you suggesting that Discord didn’t have any technical means to detect and ban that activity before?
I’m suggesting that’s irrelevant in face of the magnitude of the issue, versus the irrelevancy of the threat here. I see no reason why a person obsessed with not showing ID would join Discord. It’s like joining a Facebook group and complaining the admins aren’t protecting your privacy.

I actually agree with this decision. If you’re privacy minded, what the hell are you doing on Discord? At the very least, learn Matrix.
But for your average user, let’s recall there are literal pedophile rings on Discord. This is still on-going in 2026, they pay low-tier YouTubers to promote their channel to children, children join, they get blackmail material on them (especially young girls) and then force then to do sexually explicit transmissions, record it, and sell it. This is not one example, there are hundreds per day.
So you know what? Yes, require age verification.

Oh yikes, yeah, not touching this one

They have been uploading AI remastered versions of the videos and they do not look good

Sounds good, but I’ll need somebody else to audit Traur itself first ;)

You want to have a story drawn without anime-style characters? Sure, check this one out.

There’s no reason to read a gringo’s opinion on the global South, ever.
That said, as a Brazilian, I do think the fact the entirety of LATAM speaks Spanish but we speak Portuguese held back how much we exchange culturally with each other, and ultimately, partially explains why Mercosul is so slow to move towards an EU style union.

Why do you write like Elon Musk tweets?

Yea no shit, Sherlock!
I wasn’t the one creating a post to ask the question.
Are you gonna do something about it
About the issues where I live? A lot of things, actually. About your failed shithole of a country? No, not really. You elected the guy twice. Good luck, though, bestie.

As a GOG user, I don’t give a toss if they don’t offer even 1% of the features others may or may not offer. They promise I get a game, and I do get a game. It’s up to me to get those other features for my games provided they’re possible.
Naturally it is up to you. Not sure where in my comment did you get the impression that I get to demand which platform you use to get the games.

REALITY IS NOT PRIVATE OUT OF THE BOX.
EVERY PHYSICAL INTERACTION IS BASED ON CAUSE AND CONSEQUENCE.
IF A DEMON COULD KNOW THE MOMENTUM AND POSITION OF EVERY PARTICLE, THEY COULD LOG EVERY ACTION AND THOUGHT YOU’VE EVER HAD.
WHILE NATURE ISN’T SENDING THESE LOGS TO A DIVINE CREATOR, ANY INTELLECT VAST ENOUGH TO SUBMIT THESE DATA TO ANALYSIS WOULD SEE THE FUTURE, AS THE PAST, PRESENT TO ITS EYES.
IF YOU WANT TO BE PRIVATE, YOU MUST CEASE TO EXIST

Sufficiently rich people don’t go to jail.

GOG doesn’t offer 20% of the features Steam does, but the trade off is a promise of no DRM headaches and full ownership values.
It simply took CDPR to wave some money their way to throw that away and have DRM on a major game. Removed after a literal outrage or not, this means the fundamental reason to use the platform is negotiable and relative. To me, that doesn’t make it different than Steam, and therefore, I’ll pick the store that actually works well.
GOG is hinting at Linux support after ages. Steam created Proton. This contrast tells me all I need to know.

Ah sure, it must have been a super accidental bug that just so happens to have be related to the main release of the parent company, sure.
Hitman: Game of the Year Edition and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided must have been bugs too. I guess this is a very buggy store.

If you’re talking about the phantom liberty DLC bug
Not a bug.
that’s been fixed since patch 2.01
After community outrage.
Also they’ve been separated out of CDPR recently
Doesn’t matter, it’s enough to prove their standards are up for sale.

Ah GOG, the “anti-DRM” platform that published a game with DRM protected DLC because their parent company demanded it.

If sharing just for yourself, NextCloud or sync a calendar locally with SyncThing.
Or a paper planner, and “syncing” means having it with you.
When you speak about the absurdity that Trump is online, americans quickly come back with the “nooo he doesn’t represent the true americans, he just so happened to get elected” card.
Then a chart like this comes out. The fact this guy is got anything above 2% approval, anywhere, means you’re a broken society. The fact that there’s a lot of fucking green here is beyond ludicrous. The fact the average approval is above 30% says that is, indeed, he does represent you. No excuses.
