An haifi Tolu Akinyemi a Akure, Jihar Ondo, Najeriya.[7] Iyayensa sun yi aiki a ma'aikatan gwamnatin jihar.[8][9] Ya yi karatu a wannan garin, makarantar (Oyemekun Grammar School), inda ya kasance mataimakin babban lardi, daga baya kuma ya zama babban Firifet. Daga nan ya karanci (Architecture and Design) a Federal University of Technology Akure, inda ya samu digirin farko na fasaha a fannin gine-gine a shekarar 2008.[2][7] A 2011 ya sami digiri na biyu na Kimiyya a Gina Ilimin Muhalli daga wata Jami'ar Greenwich.[7][8] A halin yanzu yana zaune a London, Ingila.

Tolu Akinyemi shi ne marubucin waƙoƙi guda huɗu. A shekara ta 2016 ya fara rubuta shirin ''Halima Series', sharhi mai ban dariya da game da shahararrun al'adu da abubuwan yau da kullun, wanda wata mai suna Halima acikin kagaggen shirin take taka rawa.[23] A cikin 2022, Tolu ya bayyana yana ɗaya daga cikin jaruman shirin 'Shawn', acikin wasan kwaikwayon na shirin Africa Magic, My Flatmates (Kashi na/Episode 133), ya fito a matsayin 'Shawn'.
