- Download MPD218 Editor
- Open the
reyrey.mpd218preset (this is identical toPreset1-chroma10.mpd218in the MPD218 Factory Presets). File→Send To HardwareSave current preset to hardware as 1- Click
Send - Hopefully you'll never have to change the preset again(!)
- Download MPC2
- Open the
Midi Learnpane (shift+command+L) - Click on the weird burger menu →
Import
- Import the
mpd218-mpc2.xmmMIDI mapping - Under the
Userdropdown, selectmpd218-mpc2
- Import the
mpd218-mpc2-ableton.xmmMIDI mapping - Under the
Userdropdown, selectmpd218-mpc2-ableton
I've found the import functionality a bit ropy. You might want to do the following instead:
Drop mpd218-mpc2.xmm into ~/Library/Application Support/Akai/MPC/Midi Learn and restart MPC2.
Drop mpd218-mpc2-ableton.xmm into ~/Library/Application Support/Akai/MPC/Midi Learn and restart MPC2.
