I have provided example code to get started with building cross chain swaps between Bitcoin and Ethereum. Build an exchange that is frictionless to use, cannot be taken down and owned by the community. The Bittorent of Exchanges with token economics.
Exchanges nowadays are vulnerable to attack from governments, hackers or corrupt operators. If the government wants these exchanges to do KYC, then they have to do KYC (see shapeshift). These exchanges are often taken down and require a cumbersome user experience with accounts and other regulatory hurdles. Despite all of this, the exchange can still go down and lose all your money.
Leveraging exisiting technologies to enable cross chain swaps between the two most common cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin and Ethereum). I have provided some examples in here which allow this to exist with a basic swap, however we need to expand on it and make it more robust, flexible (compatible with other blockchains) and user friendly.
No Accounts, no KYC, quicker, faster, more transparent, safer and censorship resistant.
Just like Bitcoin, no one will own this exchange, however you can own tokens which provide an incentive layer by giving you a percentage of the fees gained. This token enables anyone to own a piece of a decentralised mechanism and can provide more user buy in and incentive to see the exchange succeed. By owning the token you have an incentive to make it successful and will try harder to improve the system.
