Discussion:Almaty
Apparence
- I write in English which is easier for me. A source is e.g. German Wikipedia: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Almaty (first sentence). Interestingly, the English Wikipedia is also wrong, I'll make a comment in the next days (as it states "ata" would be "father" (=père) instead of grandfahter (=grand-père)). Furthermore, without source, it states that it is "often translated as "full of apples;"" - but don't say it is right to do so.
One could consider this dictionary as source for my statement: http://www.lugat.kz/?p=voc_kz_en (compare father - әке with grand-father - ата ) 193.52.24.125 (d) 3 novembre 2011 à 14:32 (CET)
