Try to be good when I’m gone
Though nothing you could do would be that wrong
I just wish it didn’t have to be so long
But try to be good when I’m gone
I’m sorry I can’t stop to listen
But I’ve got so much to do and I’ve got someplace to be
The house looks like the aftermath of a hurricane
I hope it stays that way
My timing couldn’t be any worse if I tried
But I find it gets easier in time
I wonder if you ever wonder if I’m somewhere I'd rather be
Doing something I'd rather do?
The suitcase always starts a countdown
I know its ticking away
but it’s moving too slow for me

This is like emo Bruce Springsteen. Anthemic, but most importantly, channeling something of our collective experience so poetically real. I love that these angsty conventions can be used to rage (somewhat generally) against our screwed up society. This is rock and roll. Adam Pearson

The boys have done it again! State Champs equals consistency. Opening track has the energy to get you off the couch and out the door. Triumphant lyrics on that cut are balanced by the bitter nostalgia of Outta My Head - another track with an explosive riff and energy for days. The mood grows softer and more reflective on Half Empty and Four Year Strong make an excellent and surprise appearance on the bridge of Sundress. This is a dope album for a midnight run or blasting on the freeway. jayjules
