Reporting

Protection of the informant is under the condition of submitting real name and accurate evidence.
And we will protect the information on the report of informant and on the interested parties concerned with the highest level of confidentiality.

5. Agreement on the Collection and Use of Personal Information

Personal information collected and the method to collect the information

To ensure the proper treatment of the report collected in the Ethics Hotline of LG Group, LG Business Research collects personal information within the minimum required range. While you have the right to refuse consent for the collection and use of your personal information, you should be aware that doing so may hinder the processing of your report.
The information collected includes your name, e-mail address, telephone (cell phone) number, report details (title of the report, report type, content of the report, relationship with the target company), report confirmation ID, password, and IP address. If you do not want to disclose your name, email address, or mobile phone number, you have the option to submit an anonymous report. In such cases, we do not utilize the IP address or any other information to identify the informant.

The purpose of collection and use of personal information

The purpose of collecting and using personal information is to effectively process the collected reports, verify the report information if necessary, confirm the receipt of the report, provide reward for reporting, and implement necessary follow-up measures including responding to related issues.

Treatment of Personal Information and Retention Period

Personal information collected via LG Ethics Hotline system is to be kept in principle for 10 years after the closing of the case for the report. However, even after this period, if there is a need to retain the information separately for purposes such as providing reward for reporting, implementing follow-up measures, or addressing any outstanding issues, it will be kept until the relevant purpose is fulfilled.

In order to process the report, the personal information may be provided to LG Business Research. While you have the right to refuse consent for the collection and use of your personal information, you should be aware that doing so may hinder the processing of your report.
If you prefer not to disclose your name, email address, or mobile phone number, you can only submit an anonymous report.
