[edit]From Proto-Slavic *vymę, from Proto-Indo-European *h₁ówHdʰr̥. Cognate with Upper Sorbian wumjo, Polish wymię, Old Czech výmě, Russian вы́мя (výmja), Serbo-Croatian vȉme.
