Czech
[edit]Etymology
[edit]The origin of this word, which only exists in Czech and Slovak, is unknown. It may be derived from Hungarian kan. Other theories say it comes from the East Slavic word кабан (kaban) and would therefore be of Turkish and Tatar origin.
