From a Vulgar Latin root *disclāvō or *disclāviō (with the Aromanian suffix -edz, and probably influenced by ncljiedz or cljai), from Late Latin clāvāre, present active infinitive of clāvō, from Latin clāvus. Compare Daco-Romanian descheia.
