- (law) A legal entity, peculiar to Finnish law, for ownership and management of a residential building in which real property is owned jointly by a limited liability corporation and the right to control and use each unit is tied to ownership of a particular set of shares; quite close to condominiums in the United States.
Usage notes
[edit]- asunto-osakeyhtiö is the official Finnish term for this concept. The official translation into English is "limited liability housing company". However, the term appears to be unknown in the English-speaking part of the world.
