Template talk:transclude
Verbs
[edit]@Fytcha Should this template be used for verbs? I was thinking of using it for abordażować for the sense id, however I cannot get it to print "to". Vininn126 (talk) 09:53, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Vininn126: I didn't take verbs into consideration when I first implemented this template but thinking about it again, there are indeed some (few) verbs that are perfect translations (German retweeten comes to mind). I've now implemented it so that a "to" is added if the specified senseid appears under a
===Verb===
header. — Fytcha〈 T | L | C 〉 11:16, 27 January 2023 (UTC)- @Fytcha It appears to be checking for adverbs as well, see acydymetrycznie Vininn126 (talk) 10:57, 18 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Vininn126: Hi, sorry for the late reply. It seems this has been fixed in the meantime, right? I can't see any problems with the entry acydymetrycznie.
- Anyway, there was a bug in my implementation related to this which I've now fixed (diff). — Fytcha〈 T | L | C 〉 13:59, 27 August 2024 (UTC)

Other templates
[edit]@Fytcha On abszach the template is transcluding templates like {{defdate}}
and {{century}}
, can we turn this off? Vininn126 (talk) 08:43, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Vininn126: Thanks for the report.
{{defdate}}
should already have been filtered out by the time of you writing this. I've now done the same thing for{{century}}
: diff. — Fytcha〈 T | L | C 〉 14:03, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
Option to ignore labels
[edit]@Fytcha See cebil. The "uncommon" label on the English sense isn't appropriate when transcluded into Spanish. JeffDoozan (talk) 23:05, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
- @JeffDoozan: Thanks for the report. It looks like Benwing2 has already taken care of this here by implementing
|nolb=
. — Fytcha〈 T | L | C 〉 14:05, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
Transclusion of <math> broke
[edit]@Benwing2, Theknightwho: It seems that some of the changes in the meantime have broken transcluded maths formulas, see e.g. Nullvektor. Pinging you two because I've seen that you've worked the most on that module since I created it. — Fytcha〈 T | L | C 〉 14:09, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- I think this is mostly Benwing2's wheelhouse, but it looks like it needs to preprocess tags to get the strip markers. Theknightwho (talk) 14:10, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Fytcha I will take a look. User:Theknightwho is probably correct about needing to preprocess. Benwing2 (talk) 19:03, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Benwing2 It should be possible to use Module:template parser for this, since it can handle all the complexities of parser tag/template interaction, but it may require a complete rewrite of this module to implement. Theknightwho (talk) 19:08, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Benwing2 @Fytcha I'm intending to do a total rewrite of this at some point soon-ish, which should have much better handling of arbitrary templates/tags on definition lines. I'll let you know once it's done. Theknightwho (talk) 00:22, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Theknightwho Great, let me know of your progress. Benwing2 (talk) 03:27, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
